Dedicated to exploring Muslim neighbours in Muslim minority countries in the ‘West’, this website probes the issues that challenge inter-community understanding and examines formative historical and comparative contexts that shape these relationships. Our initial focus is Trinidad-Tobago as it provides a microcosm for considering Islam and the Muslim experience in diasporic, Muslim minority contexts. Through highlighting different perspectives, we intend to shed light on the nuances that de-stabilize misunderstanding eventually expanding this project to Islam and Muslim Life in other geographical areas.
